2024 Pick Your Own operations start September 2, to be available daily 9AM-6PM until early November, or all the apples are picked, whichever comes first! (Check Saratoga Apple Facebook and Instagram for current updates)
2024 Crop is a wonderful bumper crop! We have plenty of apples on the trees and our daily picking maps, handed out with the purchase of our Pick Your Own bags, will direct you to the best picking! Check our Facebook and Instagram pages for the most up to date information.
We appreciate everyone understanding that ever since COVID and the strict wagon protocols expected by regulating officials, Pick Your Own is strictly a walking experience (no wagon rides). Please wear boots!
BTW, for HoneyCrisp lovers, we try to offer them available inside the orchard store all year. The reason HoneyCrisp is not available for Pick Your Own is because we are carefully picking them and putting many in the special low oxygen “controlled atmosphere” storage so that we will have them available in our store and farmers markets almost all year.
Best regards,
– Nate Darrow (passed away 2022)

– Please do not ask to enter our orchard during harvest unaccompanied by prepaid U-Pick bag(s), this is a time when the fruits of our year round labor are most vulnerable to bumps, bruises, and falling from the tree.
During the Pick Your Own / harvest season, the orchard is reserved strictly for U-Pick customers.
Pick Your Own customers are encouraged to wear boots that protect your feet and arches well, and not go into caution taped areas in the orchard keeping customers out of unripe areas.
(On one specific day, we invite all volunteer apple pickers to help us harvest as many apples as possible in collaboration and donation to the regional food bank to help bring delicious NY apples to everyone. If interested in this, please keep an eye on our Saratoga Apple Facebook page where we always post the information about this day, usually sometime end of Oct or early Nov.)
For those not interested in Pick Your Own, we offer a wide range of products, veggies, baked goods, and varieties of apples available for sale in our orchard store.
We want to thank everyone for their patronage.
Respectfully,
– Saratoga Apple
